Two success stories and a weddingmollykimble, 09-Jan-2008 I joined your dating agency back in 2004. After just a month i was chatting to stevo23. We spoke for a month via the internet, then for a few weeks on the phone before we took the plunge to meet up. My parents were worried about me meeting someone off the internet so poor stephen had to come to my house so my parents could check he was OK.
After a cuppa i took Stephen to the yard i worked at and introdced him to the horses (which he had never touched before) then i took him for a walk around the lakes next to the yard which he feel in love with.
We got on really well even though he was a little bit towny and i was a little bit country and saw each other about 3 times a week for a couple of months.
I would travel to him in licolnsire and he came down to me in bedfordshire.
Then the owner of the yard i worked at decided to sell the business, so stephen decided he wanted a new life and sold his house to buy the business, and he came to live in bedfordshire, even though he hadnt got a clue about horses and country living.
We had are ups and downs living and working together but fell in love, then on november 1st 2006 stephen proposed to me on my birthday, i said yes and we are getting married on 26th april 2008.
Its been a journey and i never thought i would meet the person i would spend the rest of my life with on a internet dating site, but i did and everyone is shocked when i tell them how we met.
We normally get ''but you are both normal'' and i say the internet has loads of normal people on it, especially now a days. We both joined because we were bored, but neither of us thought we would ever meet up with someone, let alone end up marrying them!
My advice is take it slow, chat on the phone, use a web cam, and get them to meet your parents on day one, because if they go through all that - they are definately for keeps.
