HolidayWha's the best holiday you've ever been on!
 | The sunshine this morning got me thiking of holidays & the summer ahead.
My favourite holiday was hiring a 100 year old cottage in a small village outside of Britanny. Despite the cold evenings spent in the cottage, spider ridden bathroom and basic plumbing. I had two glorious weeks of exploring France, savouring the culture, eating delicious food and generally just chilling out.

 | Had a great weekend in Iceland many years ago.It was so'coooool',and I'm not talking temperature ! Would love to go again but maybe for a bit longer !
But my last holiday to Granada(Spain)was great too ! Not really a walker but was'dragged'up the Sierra Nevada mountains and it was soooo amazing to be on top of the World above the clouds ! :) |

Sparkin - I'm free :-)
Cyprus is fab been many times, as my parents were out there till last year. Particulary Protarus end, sure you've have a fab time.
David - I'm off to Dumfries later this year, been going there for the last few years with my little one. And yes we have some fab places here too, though as much sunshine as I'd like. |
 | Some of the best holidays i've had was in this country camping with my boys...great fun

 | Poppy ;)
I've been in the Dumfries area a few times, stopped at Thornhill a couple of times and been walking around the area. I used to love it up there! |
 | It's a toss up between the Ice Lantern Festival in China and a trek through Cambodia. |
 | Sparkin - I ususally stay in a quaint village affectionatley known as "fecken" by the locals. Not far from Annan.
Reefmaker - You've obviously travelled far and wide, I'm waiting to win the lottery to do that.
Apart from France, I loved Spain and Cyprus though Cyprus is like a second home. Oh even thinking about holidays is so calming............. |
 | I decided that as I knew somebody who won the lottery so I'd have no chance. It's more a case of grabbing life by the scruff of the neck and trying to find companies who allow you to save the extortionate single supplement. Of course the last minute spur of the moment booking also helps negotiate a price. But I suppose that's just me being impulsive. |
