i was wondering why do people come on site with no photos have they got something to hide or are they playing blind date

some peeps are ugly n they no it so they Dont put it up .why spoil someones mood by making them look at it ?

hmm i wouldnt class anyone as (ugly), some ppl are more easy to the eye! but then i still think personality counts alot in my book.

Yes PeacefulBloke, I think you are right. Some folk don't want their boat race on here because they are Mucking Fugly. I am one of those but as I can not do anything about it and if do go on a date it's rather difficult to hide, unless I invest in one of them masks that they use in the Mission Impossible films. I will have a George Clooney one made up. (Why do the women dote on him anyhow, he ain't that special)?

I am ugly. I know that. But whats the point of hiding your boat race? Just says to to others that you are ugly and that is why you are hiding??

There is a small percentage of people that for them I guess revealing their boat may cause other problems, for instance, they might not want other family members knowing about their membership or it may cause embarrassment at work or something.

Hell i have put unflattering pics on me profile....how i look after a tem mile race in a howling gale not a pretty sight...no make up on and whacked....not had a sniff of a date sice i put um up ha ha,but i'm proud of my acheivements,only took up running just over 5 years ago..
Nobody at work knows i'm on here....none of their business...don't want them having a nose on here lol

Richard honey, as has already been said - you are not ugly! It's a subject you raise quite often and often attribute to your lack of dates, so I guessed this lack of self confidence was a result of what someone had said to you in the past.

I dated someone on and off for six years who was certainly no looker. I always regarded him as a lovely sweet man with problems and thought he would be a friend for life. His looks simply didn't enter into the equation. What I did find out, eventually, was that he wasn't infact such a nice person and that is why we are no longer friends.

What I'm trying rather clumsily to say is - forget the looks issue, it's not important. But please try to lighten up and drop the negativity. Concentrate on being a good kind person, throw in a sense of humour and those dates will flood in!

You know what Chris, you are correct. I guess I just am seeking a reason why nothing seems to happen much. I am on two other sites in addition to this one, simply for coverage. I spend most of my time here. The others don't have chat threads like this one. As you have probably guessed I have been feeling a bit down this weekend that is all. It's no big deal and it will pass. Hell I am only human after all.

Just trying to figure out why this medium does not seem to work well. Everyone on here is in theory is single and seeking someone so why, and I echo Poppy's other thread, are there so many singles here? Actually I don't think you are single are you Chris? Does your fella know you are on here and if not, what would he think if he knew? I guess you are here for the chat element which is enough reason in its self.

I have to echo something Western Sunrise said the other day. I don't send out messages to people very often cos I can't be bothered. No one answer's and that makes you think why? Because I am not good looking is that the answer or not good looking enough? So you see, you are correct. That is where my ugly thing comes from.

No not single at present. To answer your question he doesn't know I'm on here because the subject's never cropped up, but he almost certainly wouldn't care. My profile is hidden & I only come on to use/read the threads and as he is on facebook I don't think there is much difference really. It comes down to trust at the end of the day.
