The shades are because I'm in Spain right in the middle of the summer, and its kind of hot/bright down there mmm'kay? Y'know, the sort of weather where your retinas burn within a couple of minutes if you're not wearing shades.

There are plenty more pictures of me in my profile if you like me that much, wearing a combination of nothing (so you can see I'm not a freak with my eyelids sewn together or something), shades, my prescription glasses (Don't worry though, they're sexy Ted Baker glasses) - I'm very slightly short sighted, almost never wear them except when driving at night and when out walking so I can admire the views a little better.

ive not got a pic because im having trouble uploading it i suppose a lot of people are the same. I dont think a pic should matter that much because a lot of the time a lot of people hide behind a pretty picture.im not saying im a monster im just normal looking but u should get to no the person not the pic.

Sparkydal, you and peacefulbloke look like twins, are you related? You both have exactly the same features, same colour hair and even wear the same clothes :)

I'm a bit late in joining this thread, but it's kinda appropriate as I have finally gotten around to putting pics up of myself. I know I'm not a good looking guy and is one of the reasons why I'm shy. If you want to know about the pics, I have started another thread (I been quiet).

The reason I haven't put a pic up till now is because I'm far from handsom. I also wanted to wait and see how D A would work for me.

I'm guessing the few responses I've had sofar will dry up totally now ;-)

Aye, well it amazes me too. Personally, I have some ground rules for using these sites:

1) No photo, then I won't bother write or visit her profile (unless she is local, which is unlikley if u live in E Scotland though!)

2) If she writes me after seeing my profile, but can't produce immediately a photo, I am not interested.

3) Same applies if she won't produce an email or phone no. by 2nd or 3rd messages. Some ladies i've met online seem to want to meet you online but not offline- crazy, eh?!

4) If she postpones making a date to meet you in person, very shortly and any more than once, not interested.

Personally, I would rather not be spending my Sunday evenings poring over women';s profiles, but poring over a real woman!

I'm also more unsure of someone that doesn't have a photo.

I think the people saying that they don't add a photo due to worrying about being spotted at work shouldn't really worry too much.

If you do get spotted the other person can't exactly give you a hard time about being on a dating site if they had to be here themselves in order to see your picture.

I would be more concerned with the sites policy about gatherings and events.

From my reading of that sentence it sounds like you could turn up at an event and then end up in a newspaper/tv advert for the site with no way to stop it from happening.
