Shar, my last relationship was destroyed by an issue that the other party just point blank refused to deal with.

I'm not saying for one moment that you can't or won't drop those shields but I do think it is important.

Do it soon because if you wait to long it will only get worse. This happened to me in my last relationship, the issue she did not deal with. Constantly refused to face up to it and continued to run away, and sadly this lead to the destruction of what was for the most part, a very healthy relationship with a future.

Right I am going to go now, it's getting late and my brain is not working on all thrusters right now, a side effect of getting old!

I'm a bit deaf, and this can have amusing consequences (but only in retrospect)...I once went to bed with a woman, having agreed that we'd only cuddle...the cuddles grew more and more intimate, and eventually she whispered "do you want to make love?" and I did'nt hear! Fortunately, I understood the body language.
