Hi All,

I seem to be spending my time lately defending this site...........

There have been several comments on the threads recently, regarding the 'free' aspects of this site. Several new members seem to feel they were lead to believe the site was totally free and yet once they joined, found infact that it wasn't. I'm not sure where they read this or why they thought otherwise having joined, but I can assure anyone who is feeling disgruntled that you haven't wasted your time.

The conversations, kisses, winks, hugs etc are all totally free. You can also read and reply to any private message which is sent to you - free of charge. There are many organised 'meets' which are of course free (check out the forthcoming national meet in Nottingham, kindly organised By the lovely Jue, which is open to everyone). I think I'm right in saying that you have to upgrade (pay) in order to take advantage of the instant chat feature and to initiate a private message, but you can do that for less than £3.00.

I'm not currently looking for a partner, but am probably more active on here than I ever was. Not because I'm sad or don't have a life, but because it's one of the friendliest sites I have ever been a member of. It's full of lovely, fun, intelligent, genuine people, who are, quite frankly, a joy to chat with (and hopefully meet in Nottingham).

Ok - serious stuff over - I'll go back to being silly later.

Ditto to almost everything you just wrote... apart from the spending more time on here :) I'm spending less time on here... but still like to keep in touch with what's going on...

And yes I agree re sister site - I tend to pop on and quickly rush off again - but I guess it's what you're used to and it does have other advantages.

Hi everyone,

I agree totally with what you have said Chris and good on you for fair explaining it all.

I also find this is the only site I feel comfortable in and the people on here are all so friendly caring and supportive. Ok we get the odd fall out and disagreements as you would expect to get anywhere but all in all its a great place to be when you feel at a loose end etc. Not only that as Chris said, there have been some very successful relationships formed on here too.

As for the meet yes it will a great night to meet members of the site and party the night away. Thanks to all the members and friends who have already purchased their tickets and those who still intend to, enabling this event to go ahead. :o)

I checked out the front page and it does say free messaging. I suppose that could be a tad misleading. Messaging is only free to tight fisted non-members, like me, when we reply to a member making first contact.

For me, you get plenty for free and I'm happy with the service.
