Mine's a fridge magnet ...is yours?? lol |
 | Not really on topic, but kinda and I love this one so much it makes me laugh everytime I see it, so thought I'd get it in a thread somewhere...........
'I can only please one person every day
Today is not your day...........
And tommorrow doesn't look good either!'

 | LOL @ chris |
 | This is something I too have been saving for a suitable thread...this isn't the one, but never mind.
"Be angry and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger." |
 | Is that Shakespearean Keith? |
 | I don't need four I will be happy with just the one. If she had all of the first four qualities it would be nice. Ere are we allowed to use those naughty words? I do shock easy you know and my mind is nice and clean and not a sewer!
I told a friend the same thing the other day and he called me a liar! :-) |
 | OP, you are a one
Grace...Bible! You'll be pleased to know that I've got biblical phrases as well as Latin and Shakespearean ones saved to my PC.
When I've got the hang of it I'll make my own up. |
 | And it it came to pass that that there was a blight in the land. There was a wailing and gnashing of teeth. Cheesy grins faded, and women rent their clothes and cried "show us yer bum" |
 | I'm an Atheist - I don't do anything Biblical! |
 | There's no escape, it's embedded in the language...you'd have strange gaps in your speech if you cut it out. |
 | Most interesting fact of the day so far: I've got a Hamlet dvd with my Sunday paper |
 | That's the most interesting thing of your day? Oh dear!
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy". :))
|
 | Well, it's interesting to me! I've been going on about it a lot and it's inspired my current name and profile.
On a rainy morning such as we've just had (the rain has gone south now!) and had I not been alone, but cuddling in bed...much more interesting things would have arisen.
In my philosophy I dream a lot, but one day actions will speak louder than words.... |
 | Hope those actions won't be the bloody kind! Please stay with Hamlet!
"Let me be cruel, not unnatural;
I will speak daggers to her, but use none". :))
|
 | Why, look you now, how unworthy a thing you make of me! You would play upon me, you would seem to know my stops, you would pluck out the heart of my mystery, you would sound me from my lowest note to the top of my compass; and there is much music, excellent voice in this little organ...
And that's all I have to say about that. |
 | Golly gosh ..... what a thread!!!
|
 | Yes, Mike, very… English, isn’t it?
Oh Keith, come on! Just when I’ve started to have fun… You want to finish? Or is it that you want the last word?
“Alas! poor Yorick. (…) a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; (…) Where be your gibes now? your gambols? your songs? your flashes of merriment, that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now, to mock your own grinning? quite chap-fallen?”
(Ahem! Are you sure “I cannot play upon you”?)
|
 | Though this be madness yet there is method in it'.
Ahem, I think we could come to some arrangement. |
 | I thought you'd typed I have strange gaps in my teeth Keith, but there's only one (gap), honestly! |
