National Meet update

Hi everyone

Just thought Id mention that I now have a list of the ones who are difinitely going to the meet and its pretty much equal sided at the moment of men and women who have purchased their tickets, although I do know a few more women who have yet to buy theirs!

As its only six weeks away and half the tickets sold I would like to know if anyone else is interested in coming along and joining us?

If anyone is a non paying member and cannot private message me then please feel free to leave a message here and I will get intouch with you asap.

Thanks to everyone who has shown their interest and who will be coming along on the 15th November and looking forward to meeting you all.

Had more messages of people going, things are looking better, perhaps me just getting into a panic mode as the weeks are flying by. Keep them coming though and if I can help out in anyway please let me know. :o)

Jue - I have decided I will be attending as I already have my ticket and I have been speaking to Margaret and we will be coming together.
I know that is a rare thing to achieve, but it can be done if you know your partner well enough.

Seeing as this thread is getting cluttered anyway, I'd just like to say that there's something very cute in the way you say "purchase" rather than "buy", Jue.

Is that because you buy everyday things, but purchase luxuries? x

Why of cause Keith, and I want to see this thread more than cluttered I need to see it bursting with posts from members saying they can attend the meet as we have until 15th October to sell 75 tickets else sadly Gordon has informed me that this meet will NOT go ahead.

Please folks after all the effort put into this if you are serious about this PLEASE purchase your ticket along with any friends you wish to bring along too asap to prove we are interested and to secure this event, if not Gordon will be refunding those who have purchased theirs already and so many were looking forward to this.

Hey c'mon this is not good! Jue has put a lot of effort into this and it would be really sad to see it not go ahead due to lack of numbers!

I have to admit I am a little suprised I thought this was a go ahead for sure.

Well if it happens Jue, I'm sure those of us who are booked in can arrange a scaled down version.

Yes there is always another option but Im keeping my fingers crossed that we sell these tickets and Im still working on it for the event that was originally planned for and either way it will still be a good night should option two have to come into force. That being that we all meet at the hotel during the day for a get together, then we head into Nottingham for a meal and then return to the hotel for a few night caps as the bar is open all night. If anyone else has any other suggestions for the evening then they are more than welcome to suggest them and we can go with the majority. But hey lets not go there just yet as we really need to sell these tickets and from what I can now gather it may be just 35 more, thats 17 members with just one friend or even better two friends to come with them...Surely its not that hard! IS IT? :o/ (no pun intended)

If anyone who is already attending the meet know of anyone as friends who would like to buy a ticket and come along with you too or those who have could find another friend then please do as there is no limit to the amount of friends you can buy tickets for.

Non paid and mini meets as such will always be successful ones, the National meet was to bring as many people from all over the country together in one evening rather than regular mini meets where not so many can make it! A one off with as many as possible in central England would be a successful NATIONAL meet with a fair number of members attending, and possibly a huge success would spark off another in a years time elsewhere but if it proves a failure then Im pretty sure Admin wouldnt agree to another! If it was a success then there was a possibilty that admin would have agreed to doing the same for us near London through the hotel, so Id be very disappointed if this fails as the National Meet it was intended to be.
