Boat Race PhotosHow old is yours?
 | My display boat race photo was taken in August this year. I had just had my hair cut to a grade 2. Now it's longer than that but I am keeping it short as it helps to keep it tidy and manageable.
Seems like since I have been using this site, many folk have never changed their boat race photo and surely in this time the appearance must have changed?
How long do you think is an acceptable time for your boat race pic to remain the same? Personally I think it should be refreshed every four months or so. Otherwise it does not show a real you, right now.
I was chatting to someone from here a short time ago whose photo was fifteen years old. Surely that is a tad naughty?
Opinions?

 | Hi OP My main photo was taken January this year and my seaside photos on my profile taken in August this year so I think I'm fairly up to date.
Have been thinking about changing my main photo as people I have met say I look better in the flesh but I hate having my photo taken when its posing for it, prefer to be taken when I don't know I'm being taken...if you know what I mean!
As long as you still look like the photo you are putting up on your profile I don't think it matters how old it is but do agree I have met a few whose photos are well out of date! :) |
 | Hi All,
Think photos should be as current as possible. My main pic is a year old now and I am thinner than I was so I uploaded some more pics that were taken this month. My hair has a natural curl to it too so it goes someone an idea of my other 'looks'.
It's like profiles tho, some folk have not changed theirs since the year dot!
Have a happy Saturday!

 | Dec last year, can`t be ar$ed to take another one :-) |
 | most of mine was taken 10th may this year.
although some has wrong date on , this is due to the camera belonged to my late dad .
and being a women not sure how to change the date on it lol |
 | Ok hands up and heading straight for the naughty corner!!
Mine were taken Nov 06..........
BUT - in my defence I really really don't think I've changed much!
We've touched on this before. It's up to each individual person what photos they choose to put on their profiles. They might be out of date photos, tongue in cheek photos, photos of pets, views etc etc etc. I personally only have a problem if people are putting out of date/inaccurate photos on their profiles to deliberately deceive - ie this is how I look now!
And as I'm not looking for anyone right now - that is how I looked two years ago - post shag!
Tonight when I go out I will look very similar - tomorrow morning? Ahh, a whole diffrent story!!!!!!

Hey there everyone
As long as there is a photo of what you look like at the present time who cares if you put a photo up of yourself when you were a baby. But at least make sure it is of you.
I know of someone who met some guy from this site just a few days ago. When she got to the coffee shop in her area he was butt ugly, sooo fat, a chain smoker and an alcoholic.
The photo was not even HIS!!!!!!!!!!
Subsequently as she told me she will never ever met another guy from this site. Who can blame her??
Take Care

 | My main pic is from April this year. Having just looked in the mirror I can confirm that I haven't changed at all......apart from the shirt ;-)
For those on here that have my MSN address, that shows my more recent pic taken in August. Sadly I can't get the damn thing cropped down enough to put on here, but here is a brief description:
I'm wearing a dodgy shirt and grinning like an idiot. I also have very short hair and a beard :-)
Can anyone see a pattern forming? |
 | I think I look like mine :-))))) |
 | That's one hell of a facelift Mike!!!! :-0 |
 | Yes I had to pay a fortune for it!!!!!! |
 | My main photo is just a month old (at a guess), the full-length photo about a week old. I go through phases and have to admit my weight yoyos so my appearance can change at times, in which case I usually take a new photo so that it's an accurate one...although I try to take it at the best angle possible so as to hide the double chin lol.
Richard I don't think it matters how old a photo is - if it reflects your true self and how you look, keep it on there :o)

 | Hello everyone and thank you for all your opinions. I only raised this issue because like I say it seems that many folk have always had the same display photo. I have changed mine a few times since I have been here and it can be most surprising how different a person can look from one photo to the next taken straight after.
I agree with everything everyone has said really. Guess its a matter of choice and if it looks like you as you are now it don't really matter.
I take a series of photos of myself with the self timer. I set the camera to maximum resolution, 7.1 mega pixel in my case and examine the results.
Since I am not the greatest lover of my own appearance, probably like many people I only up load what I am relatively happy with. Because I take on max res, I can then crop out only the part I want to upload without it appearing to graney.
Sometimes I take a series of shots - and then reject the lot of them! I think we look at our best when we are just out of the shower and have been sleeping properly. If you sleep bad, you look bad, IMHO

 | My main photos are from February this year, I think I've put the dates on the others.
I was never satisfied with my photos (I'm not a poser!) and in February at my Dad's 80th birthday do I gave my camera to my sister (the one who looks like Shar) and asked her to take me by surprise....
I'd only just started to shave my head then, and all the lumps and bumps have now been eradicated!
Oh lord it's hard to be humble... |
 | You mean you were airbrushed Keith?
Shame on you!
Pssstt how'd you do that? ;o)

 | No Grace!
The clue was in "hard to be humble"
I meant that I've shaved off various blemishes, which have long since healed up.
You get more lovely every day Grace...double chin and all.
Good morning, BTW

 | Hi all
My latest photo is a month old but I don't really like it!!! Only put it on because it was better than the last one.....prefer the one taken in June 06 but thought that was 'out of date' although I don't think I look much different, people seem to recognise me.
As long as the photo is a reasonable likeness and if it is an old one you put a date on it I don't think it matters.
Think what I am getting at is it is better to be honest about a profile photo if you choose to put one on.

 | Keith how come you can make a compliment and then completely ruin it in one fell swoop?
Goes to find airbrushing software....! |
 | I can confirm, Hazel looks EXACTLY like her photo!! And it's a lovely photo hon.
xx |
 | Thanks Chris,
I had no problem in recognising you either...so that is two of us....can also vouch for some of the others too, even a certain pink lady!!!!
lotsa love
