In short
DatingAgency.com is a guide to dating agencies and matchmakers in the UK and Australia, run by High Intent Media Inc. Despite its name it is not an agency or matchmaker. It also runs its own online dating service, labelled as ours, where you search yourself. The domain was registered on 9 June 1997.

DatingAgency.com is two things, kept deliberately apart. Most of the site is a guide for people thinking about paying for help to find a partner: how dating agencies and matchmakers work, what they cost, how they check members and what to look for in a contract. The other part is an online dating service that we run ourselves, where you search for people and contact them directly.
What we are not is a dating agency. The name says otherwise, and for some years the site called itself one. It isn't, and we'd rather you knew that before you read anything else.
Who runs it
DatingAgency.com is run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation (file no. 10670515), registered office 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA. The online dating service is operated through a members area with its own terms and privacy policy. Card statements for the online service show the billing name displayed at checkout.
What you can check about us
Everything we say about ourselves should be checkable. The key facts page puts the important points on one page: who runs the site, what is free and what is paid, how renewal and cancelling work, and that profiles on our online service are shared with partner sites in the same network. The members area terms are the binding document for the online service, and they are governed by Delaware law.
A short history
The domain was registered on 9 June 1997. In the nearly three decades since, it has been several different things:
- 2005. A "dating agency for your area", with horoscopes and star-sign matches, very much of its time.
- 2012. A dating service running in the UK, Australia, Ireland and South Africa, with an advice column called "Ask Dr Date".
- Later years. A general dating site that described itself as a "trusted UK dating agency" offering "personalised matchmaking", and filled up with thin articles written for search engines rather than readers.
- October 2026. Rebuilt as an honest guide to agencies and matchmakers, with the online service clearly labelled as a dating site.
We've dropped the agency claims, retired the old articles and started again with pages that are researched, dated and written for people choosing what to do.
What we do now
- City guides. Agencies that serve a particular city, using only what each says on its own website, with published prices where they exist and the date we checked. We start with Manchester and add cities as each passes the same checks; the agency hub lists what's ready.
- Decision guides. Plain guides on agency, matchmaker or dating site, questions to ask, warning signs and contracts and refunds.
- Our own online service. A dating site, free to join and browse; reading and replying to messages is paid. How it works explains it, including the fact that profiles are shared with partner sites in the same network.
How we keep the two apart
Because we run a dating service and also write about agencies, we have an obvious interest. We deal with it like this: agency listings are based only on the agencies' own published information; no agency pays to be listed; our own service always appears in a separate, labelled section and never inside an agency comparison table. Our editorial policy sets out the rest, including how to tell us when we've got something wrong.
Getting in touch
Questions about an account, billing or another member go to the members help centre; so do corrections to anything on this website. The contact page explains which route to use, and our safety guide covers reporting a scam in the UK and Australia.
Questions people ask
Is DatingAgency.com a real dating agency?
No. Nobody here interviews members or picks matches. The site explains how agencies and matchmakers work and what they cost, and separately runs an online dating service where you do the searching.
Who owns DatingAgency.com?
High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation (file no. 10670515), registered office 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA.
Why is it called DatingAgency.com if it isn't an agency?
The name dates from 1997, when the domain was registered, and the site has been several different things since. Rather than change a name people know, we use it for a guide to agencies and say plainly, on every relevant page, that we are not one.
Do agencies pay to appear on DatingAgency.com?
No. As of 18 October 2026 no agency pays to be listed and no listing carries an affiliate link. Agency details come only from each agency's own website, with the date we checked. If that ever changes, the listing and our editorial policy will say so.
Is my profile only on DatingAgency.com?
No. Profiles on our online service are shared with partner sites in the same network, so members of those sites can see and message you.
