In short
We checked three agencies and matchmakers that say on their own websites that they serve Adelaide, on 20 October 2026. None lists an Adelaide address: they work from Melbourne and Sydney. Only one publishes a price, A$350 per successful introduction. South Australia has no agency-specific cooling-off rule, so get the terms in writing. DatingAgency.com is not an agency.
| Agencies listed | 3, each checked on its own website |
|---|---|
| With an Adelaide address | None: all three serve Adelaide from Melbourne or Sydney |
| Publishing a price | 1 of 3: A$350 per successful introduction |
| SA cooling-off | No agency-specific rule; 10 business days only for uninvited sales of more than $100 |
| Checked on | 20 October 2026 |
Adelaide is served mostly by firms based in other cities. We list three that say on their own websites that they serve Adelaide: one based in Melbourne and two in Sydney. None gives an Adelaide address. Everything comes from each firm's own website as it read on 20 October 2026, and its own documents take precedence over our summary. No listing is paid for and none carries an affiliate link.
We also looked for agencies based in Adelaide itself. Some appear in directories, but their own websites wouldn't load for us when we checked, so we haven't listed them. We'll add them once we can read what they say about themselves.
Who's serving Adelaide right now
Find Fit Love
A Melbourne-based matchmaker for active, health-minded singles, with an office at 470 St Kilda Road and a dedicated Adelaide page. It says it introduces singles "across metropolitan Adelaide and the surrounding regions", naming suburbs from Norwood and Unley to Glenelg, Henley Beach and Prospect, and the Hills out to Stirling and Mount Barker. It also says it works with people in the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, the Fleurieu and regional South Australia.
It is candid about its reach: "Adelaide is a newer city for us than Melbourne and Sydney, so we are direct about it." It adds that some introductions take longer in a city it has opened more recently. Applying is free and you pay only when an introduction goes ahead.
Mirabela Executive Dating
A Sydney matchmaker, at Level 11, 66 Clarence Street, with an Adelaide page that says its service "caters to professionals and successful business owners". Its Adelaide page describes its members as single women and men aged 27 to 55 who are successful in their careers.
You start with a questionnaire and a phone interview, then a face-to-face meeting, which its FAQ says can be in person or by Zoom. That second option matters if your matchmaker is in Sydney. It also offers date coaching and personal styling, which it says are optional. Its FAQ says its database has "over 300" members, so ask how many of them live in South Australia.
Elite Introductions
An executive matchmaking firm with offices in Sydney (Level 26, 1 Bligh Street), Melbourne and Brisbane. Its home page names Adelaide among the cities where it serves "high-achieving singles", and says it works "exclusively with executives and successful business owners". You begin with a private consultation, and the site invites you to check whether you're eligible. Its footer shows a Queensland introduction agency licence number, 4755135; licensing is a Queensland requirement, so the number matters most to its Brisbane clients.
Prices side by side, with the date we checked
| Agency | Published price | What the price covers | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Find Fit Love | A$350 per successful introduction; free to apply | Charged once both people agree; no fee if either of you declines | 20 Oct 2026 |
| Mirabela Executive Dating | Not published | Its FAQ says the membership fee depends on the package and is discussed at the consultation | 20 Oct 2026 |
| Elite Introductions | Not published | Private consultation first | 20 Oct 2026 |
Two of the three keep their prices for the consultation, so decide what you can afford before you go, and ask for the full fee and payment schedule in writing. Our guide to whether a matchmaker is worth it shows how to compare a membership fee with a per-introduction price.
How each one vets the people you'll meet
- Find Fit Love says it verifies identity "through an independent third-party process before any introduction is made", confirms relationship intent and doesn't keep licence or passport images on file.
- Mirabela Executive Dating says applicants complete a character questionnaire and meet the team in person to be qualified, and lists "ID verified introductions" among its membership benefits. Its FAQ says members must be single and not living with a current or former partner, and that anyone who has been married must have been separated for at least six months.
- Elite Introductions says all applicants go through a "multi-step screening process" before being offered membership, without describing the steps.
A meeting and an ID check are worth having. They don't confirm that someone is single, or that what they said about their job or age is true. Our guide to how agencies vet members explains what to ask for.
What the fee actually buys you
The three firms publish very different amounts of detail.
- Pay as you go. Find Fit Love charges only when an introduction is accepted. If the other person cancels before you meet, the A$350 is credited to your next introduction; if they don't turn up, you get a full credit or a replacement. For misrepresentation or a safety problem, its FAQ says it will "replace or refund depending on the situation", although another section says people who misrepresent themselves are removed and not refunded. Ask which applies.
- A 12-month membership. Mirabela's FAQ says its 12-month membership offers "up to 12 quality matches", that your first introduction comes within two months if it believes it has found the right fit, and that it arranges one date at a time. You can pause for up to three months if you start a relationship, or while you're overseas. On refunds, its FAQ says: "Unfortunately, we don't do refunds."
- Nothing published. Elite Introductions' terms page covers use of its website only, under New South Wales law, and says nothing about fees, membership length or refunds.
Where a firm says it gives no refunds, the written agreement and the consumer guarantees described below are what you have to rely on. Read the agreement before you pay, and take it home to do it.
The rules that protect you in South Australia
We haven't found rules written specifically for introduction agencies in South Australia; Queensland and Victoria are the states that have them. The national Australian Consumer Law applies: a service must be provided with due care and skill and within a reasonable time, and if it isn't, you may be entitled to a remedy, including a refund.
If an agency phoned you, came to your door or approached you in public without being invited, and the agreement is worth more than $100, you have 10 business days to cancel. That doesn't apply if you contacted the agency first, which is how most people start. So in Adelaide, the cancellation terms in your contract matter more than they would in Brisbane or Melbourne. And because all three firms here are based interstate, check which company you're contracting with and which state's law applies. Our guide to dating agencies in Australia compares the states, and contracts and refunds covers what to look for in the small print.
What to ask at your first consultation
- What is the full fee, including GST, and when is each part due?
- How many introductions will I get, and over what period?
- Does a match I decline count as an introduction?
- How many current members fit what I'm looking for and live in South Australia?
- Will I meet my matchmaker in person in Adelaide, or by video?
- Do you check ID? Anything else, such as relationship status?
- If I change my mind next week, what do I get back?
Questions 4 and 5 matter most when a firm is based interstate: a national database can still be thin in Adelaide, and a match in Melbourne isn't much use for a Tuesday-night drink. Our full list of questions and what happens at the first interview will help you prepare, and the warning signs guide covers pressure to sign on the day.
If something goes wrong
Start with the agency, in writing, then escalate.
| Problem | Where to go |
|---|---|
| The agency won't cancel or refund | Write to it citing your contract; then Consumer and Business Services on 131 882 |
| You paid by card and the service wasn't provided | Your bank or card provider, which may be able to help |
| An introduction asks you for money | Don't pay; tell the agency, report it to Scamwatch, and to ReportCyber if you've lost money or personal information |
| You feel unsafe | Leave, and call Triple Zero (000) in an emergency or SA Police on 131 444 otherwise |
If you've already paid a scammer, call your bank straight away. Our safety guide has more.
Our own online service, listed separately
DatingAgency.com is not one of the agencies above. We run an online dating service where you do the searching yourself: nobody interviews members or picks matches. Joining, making a profile and browsing are free; reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership that renews until you cancel. Profiles are shared with partner sites in the same network, and what members write about themselves isn't checked. How our service works and our prices give the details.

Questions people ask
How much does a dating agency cost in Adelaide?
Only one of the three firms we checked on 20 October 2026 publishes a price: Find Fit Love charges A$350 per successful introduction, and applying is free. Mirabela Executive Dating says its membership fee depends on the package and is discussed at the consultation. Elite Introductions publishes no fees.
Are there dating agencies based in Adelaide?
Some are listed in directories, but their own websites wouldn't load for us on 20 October 2026, so we haven't included them yet. The three firms here serve Adelaide from Melbourne or Sydney. Ask any agency where you'll meet your matchmaker and how many of its members live in South Australia.
Is there a cooling-off period for dating agencies in South Australia?
We found no cooling-off rule written for introduction agencies in South Australia, unlike Queensland and Victoria. If the agency approached you uninvited and the deal is worth more than $100, you have 10 business days to cancel. Otherwise you rely on the contract and the Australian Consumer Law.
Which Adelaide matchmaker is best?
We don't rank them: nobody can test agencies fairly without being a client of each. Compare them on members in your age range and area, how they check people, what counts as an introduction, the full fee and the refund terms.
Is DatingAgency.com one of the agencies listed?
No. We are not an agency and nobody here picks matches. Our online dating service appears in its own section, labelled as ours.
