Privacy policy

By the Dating Agency editorial teamUpdated · 3 min read

This notice covers the DatingAgency.com information website: the guides, city pages and other pages you can read without logging in. Our online dating service runs in a separate members area with its own privacy policy, which applies to your profile, messages, payments and anything else you do there.

Who we are

This website is run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation (file no. 10670515), registered office 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA. High Intent Media Inc is the data controller for personal data processed through this website.

What this website collects

Very little.

  • No cookies. This website doesn't set cookies.
  • No advertising or tracking scripts. We don't run analytics, advertising, social media or other tracking scripts on this website.
  • Server logs. The website is a static site hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel's servers record technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you requested. This is used to keep the website secure and running properly, and is handled under Vercel's privacy policy.

We don't use this information to identify you, build a profile of you or market to you.

If you use a join box

Some pages have a box where you can enter your email address to start joining the online service. When you submit it, your email address is sent directly to the members area at members.datingagency.com and handled under the members area privacy policy. This website doesn't keep a copy.

Our city guides and other pages link to agencies, regulators and other organisations. Once you follow a link, that organisation's own privacy policy applies. We don't share any information about you with the agencies we write about, and they don't pay us to be listed.

Why we can process this data

Under UK and EU data protection law, we rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the website secure and working, which is the reason the server logs exist. If you submit your email address in a join box, it is processed by the members area to take the step you asked for.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to ask what we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a regulator. People in the UK and European Economic Area have these rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR. Residents of some US states have similar rights under state privacy laws, and people in Australia have rights under the Privacy Act 1988.

Because this website keeps so little, most requests will concern the members area. Make any request through the members help centre, saying whether it concerns this website, the members area or both.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first through the help centre. You can also complain to your data protection regulator: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner; in the EU, the data protection authority in your country.

Children

This website is for adults. Our online dating service is only for people aged 18 or over.

Changes

If we change how this website handles data, for example by adding analytics, we'll update this notice and the date below before the change takes effect.
